It's 'shutter' brilliance

What used to be looked at as a mistake in photography is now being utilized to create beautiful, and vivid photos. I've always been one to trash a photo if any part of it was blurred, but then I checked out this gallery. It shows several photographers utlizing slow shutter speeds to create these amazing blurred images. Looks like another way for someone to become even more creative with their photography!

Crescent Sun

Last night, there was a partial solar eclipse when the new moon passed between the Sun and the Earth, resulting in the moon covering up to 93% of the sun. This creates a magnificent array of crescent sunsets like the one above, as well as rings of fire which is when the moon covers almost all of the Sun, except for its outer edge. Unfortunately, suckas can't view this here in North America, as they can only be witnessed across the Indian Ocean from South Africa to Indonesia.

To the All-Star haters...

You def missed a stellar show. But I'm sure all you haters that said you weren't gonna watch it still did tune in, and now you're all biting your tongues. That's because this year's All-Star game in Montreal was incredible! It was truly one of the most entertaining All-Star games I've ever seen. It had the making of a storybook ending, with the city of Montreal celebrating its 100th season, and it did not disappoint. Hometown player Alex Kovalev gave the fans an amazing show on his own by scoring two spectacular goals, and the potential winner in the shootout.
Yes, that's right, I said shootout!!
"You can’t ask for a better package than this," said Kovalev, the East captain who had three points and skated off with MVP honors. “Get voted in the All-Star game by the fans, starting lineup, being the captain, get MVP. This is something to remember the rest of your life.”
This year's show was tied 11-11 at the end of regulation, and headed into overtime! The action was back and forth in the extra frame, with the West having an opportunity to win it all on a powerplay! Again, another unseen occurrence in previous All-Star games. But it was fitting to head to the shootout, and leave the fans breathless with perma-grins all night!
I love the All-Star weekend, and with this year's game having so many first time experiences, including my man Iggy scoring his first All-Star goal, it made that much more epic! I'm sure there'll be plenty of haters jumping ship after this one...

I just find this too funny...

This is one of those Stride adds.... I don't know, this guy just seems like a douche, so it's hilarious when his ass gets nutted by a ram. It's the random humor I guess...

A Momentus Day

Everyone knows what's happening today... EVERYONE. This is the day that millions of people not only in the U.S., but around the world, have been waiting for. The excitement is throughout the air, and it's fitting to have a three day festival leading up to this special day. All of the world's most famous stars and celebrities were seen from Sunday's Lincoln Memorial, and they'll continue to be seen today at Obama's Inauguration. Check out some of the inaugural preparations from Boston's The Big Picture, which includes the above pic showing a pretty real looking wax figure of Obama already in office. They captured his smile perfectly...A foreshadow of how incredible the energy will be within the 1 MILLION people present today.

Humiliation...Double time!

Wow, I just cannot believe that. You know, I really try to stay away from blatantly cutting people down, but I just can't resist this! Even Drew was knocking her. Could someone really be this dumb?? I mean seriously, is this for real? She was soooo clueless when she said "$398", that it almost looks as though it was fake... like the Price is Right is just trying to bring someone in to liven up the show or something. Either way, she's a laughing stock for sure! If you look near the end of the clip, she's got a wedding band and ring on. That means one thing... her poor ass hubby ain't gonna be heading out for a little while in order to avoid the bombing of low blows he'd be getting from the fellas!! Oooohh

Only the coolest shirt eva!

Come on, is it so wrong that I ordered this shirt?!! I mean, it's my man Tiger! And after that touching speech he made yesterday at the Lincoln Memorial, I gotta represent! Shit, who am I kidding, I definitely woulda bought it even if he didn't make that speech... Tiger muthafuckin Woods y'all!

Public Service Announcement

HA!!! Too funny...For future reference I guess.

Unreal R8

Now a stock R8 is one of the sexiest cars around...then there's this. This guy takes an already hot ass car and makes it cream worthy! It's blacked out, and tecked out, loaded with four GPS units, two radar detectors, police scanner, CB radio, kill switch for all rear lights, high-speed broadband Internet with Wi-Fi running on a tablet PC, and power ports just to name a few! Shit, I'd love to have a kill switch in my car. Read more about it here, with a youtube vid included.

Talib breakin it down with the Poetry Jam

Ok, I'm gonna slow it down for this post. To me, this clip is moving, captivating, and powerful. Talib Kwali's poem on the Def Poetry Jam is called "Hell", and it describes his view on the world, religion, and the many misconceptions that we encounter today. Straightup, this poem spoken by Talib hits me... it hits me because I agree with every word that comes out of his mouth. And I guess it's encouraging to me, to see that others feel the same way I do. I appreciate this piece more and more with each time I watch it.

Ka-Plow

Great vid showing the potential explosive eruption that may be produed by the Yellowstone Caldera. This caldera is actually the largest volcanic system in North America.... by a long shot!! The caldera that is present today was created by a cataclysmic eruption that occurred over 640,000 years ago, which released an estimated 1,000 cubic km of ash, rock and pyroclastic materials into the air. To put that in perspective, that eruption was 1,000 times larger than the 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helens in Washington State. It produced a crater nearly 1 km deep and approximately 65 km in area, which is essentially as big as San Francisco!

Self help books are good in many ways...

This was passed on to me for my amusement. I laughed a bit, but I was sure this was fake.... until I checked. This review is real! Which makes it funnier? Or kinda fucked up??

Those Vicious Hammer Fists!

Check this clip of Alexander Semin of the Washington Capitals in a fight with Mark Staal of the New York Rangers, after Stall got leveled by Ovechkin. Semin is showing off his mad fighting skills. And by mad fighting skills, I obviously mean fighting moves he learned from his sister. Watch, and you'll see what I mean...

Spectacular

What you're seeing is a time-lapse video made of still images by astronaut Don Pettit, while aboard the International Space Station. It shows bright green Auroras, fluttering beautifully through the Earth's atmosphere.
